Kudzu Clean-Up

Join us on Saturday, December 7th to help fight the spread of invasive kudzu along the Chattooga River! This will be our last big kudzu hike and clean-up event for the year. In the spirit of “Giving Season”, give time to help protect the Chattooga River’s native ecosystem!

The plan is to meet at 9AM in the Walmart parking lot in Clayton. From there, we’ll carpool or caravan to the trailhead (about a 25-minute drive, partly on a gravel road). The hike down to the kudzu patch is about 0.6 miles, or 1.2 miles round-trip. We’ll work for a couple of hours and then head back to town around lunch time. We’ll provide tools and snacks, just bring your own water and work gloves!

If you plan to join, please RSVP on our Facebook event or by sending an email to emily@chattoogariver.org.

Hope to see you Saturday!
